That’s right . . . outsourcing supports the economic recovery of the U.S. I promise.
Don’t believe me? Well, here are a few solid reasons why outsourcing is a good thing:
Keeps American entrepreneurs and small businesses in business, even when money is scarce
Enables American small businesses to grow, thereby providing more jobs for American workers
Helps small businesses and solo entrepreneurs compete with big business—competition grows American business, which leads to more American jobs
Keeping America in Business through Outsourcing
We all understand that employees can be outsourced for a lower cost overseas, and that bone has meat on both sides. Although you’ve heard the assertion that outsourcing takes jobs away from American workers, I want to convince you that it will ultimately bring jobs home to America. But first let’s focus on the fact that if a business can hire outsourced workers for a smaller wage overseas, then that business can stay in business.
If an American business stays in business, it can continue to sell products and services on the American and overseas markets, which pulls money into the American economy. This cycle is the foundation or the raft of our economy. It keeps everything else afloat.
Growing American Business through Outsourcing
While a business is afloat, the next area of focus for the entrepreneur is growing that business. Picture the solo entrepreneur or solopreneur, perhaps like yourself, working more hours than you ever imagined and still not getting it all done. And I’m just talking about the regular day-to-day requirements of keeping an existing business going. This kind of regimen leaves no time for acquiring new business or developing new products and services. If a business grows, it will need to hire more employees.
By hiring one outsourced worker, an entrepreneur can leave the paperwork and the administrative details to that outsourced employee. The entrepreneur or solopreneur is now free to focus on making new deals, acquiring new business, developing strategic alliances, and marketing. In this way the business grows and turns a profit more quickly. Growth of the business and more profit means there are more jobs to be filled by American workers and money available to pay their wages. And so our American economy grows.
Beating the Competition—The American Business Dream
Outsourcing is good for the bottom line and a strong bottom line is what creates and feeds our capitalist model of competition. Competition provides for more innovation and better products and services. By hiring an outsourced workforce for business process tasks like chat support, scheduling, data mining, telemarketing, and the like, the solopreneur /entrepreneur saves money on taxes, office overhead, and employee benefits allowing for more competitive positioning.
The ability to grow and profit more quickly gives the American entrepreneur the edge. An American business that profits faster and handles more demand eventually needs a larger, smarter, onsite, American workforce. Once again, the money comes home and our American economy grows.
Outsourcing makes smart business sense. We at 123Employee want to help your business stay afloat and grow during these tough economic times. Let us provide you with outstanding service and the ability to grow your business, bringing good-wage jobs back home to America.

Over the course of these articles, we’ve pointed out some important elements to consider when looking for the right outsourcing partner. Here’s another that bears great consequence: who’s managing the operation?
Let’s cut straight to the chase. You’ve got to have someone on your side who can advocate for your interests within the outsourcing company. This person should be someone you can relate to and rely on.
What I’m getting at is the recommendation that while you’ll find your outsourcing company located overseas, you must make sure it’s run by an American. This might sound like an unnecessarily bold warning, but trust me, you’re going to appreciate the ability to be understood and get the kind of help you need when issues arise.
“But wait!” you cry. “I thought if I follow all your advice, there won’t be any issues.” My friend, there are always things that come up. You’ve heard it before: “stuff happens.” The thing is, if you’ve thought ahead and partnered with a company managed by someone you can identify with and count on, you’ll be in good stead.
So here’s the game plan. When you’re doing your research to find the perfect outsourcing partner, find out who’s running the show. Is that person someone you can contact directly? Get in touch with them as part of your vetting process and make sure the rapport is right.
Another very significant consideration is the location of the management. You want this manager to be on location in the building with the outsourced employees. This person is your ‘man on the ground’ directly handling and resolving any matters of concern that arise between your company and the employees you’ve hired from this outsourcing company.
Generally speaking, the companies most likely to have American, onsite managers are the bigger players. There may be some smaller ones that meet this requirement, but it’s less likely.
Let’s be perfectly clear here. You do not want an intermediary who is brokering the services of an outsourcing provider. You want to go direct and have first hand contact with the person overseeing your prospective employees. This requirement ensures that the management will be able to resolve issues for you, because they will know what is truly going on in the work environment with the actual employees.
This is the kind of management and service we provide at 123Employee. We meet this requirement and are ready to be your preferred outsourcing supplier. Let us provide you with outstanding service!

This week I’ve got something really basic and yet super important to share with you about outsourcing. The reason I say, “really basic” is that I expect you might say, “duh!” when you read it. But it’s also fundamentally important to your success, and most people thinking about outsourcing don’t realize that this suggestion is a must do.
If you want to hire a staff here in America, you place ads, receive applications and resumes, weed through the pile to find the best candidates on paper, and then set up interviews to meet your top three to five choices. This is the right approach. Even if you use an agency to post the position and screen the applicants for you, you ultimately conduct the interviews directly with the people you will potentially hire.
This should be the case with outsourcing as well. Do not work with an outsourcing company that does not allow you to directly interview prospective employees. Why should they prevent you from this interaction? Whose interest does that serve? Not yours, for sure.
It’s great that the outsourcing company can compile a list of candidates that strongly match the specific criteria you are looking for in an employee. This service alone saves you valuable time and energy. But it is up to you to make sure that the suggested matches are truly right on. Without this step, you are destined to waste time sorting through a few employees that aren’t hitting the mark for your business.
Get your outsourcing company to provide you with at least three strongest matches for each position you need to staff. Meet with each of these individuals, presumably on the phone, and ask them pertinent questions to confirm that they understand and can deliver exactly what you need from them. This in-person exchange also gives you the opportunity to ensure the quality of their English if that is one of your important criteria.
Additionally, speaking directly with prospective outsourced employees provides a view into the personalities that will be a part of your team. As with onsite employees, these people will be the virtual face and voice of your business to your customers. Confirm that they can project the impression you want to make.
At 123Employee, it is our policy to support the direct interview between potential employee and employer. We know the importance of this step and wouldn’t have it any other way. Take advantage of us as your preferred outsourcing supplier. We’re here ready to help!

At the outset of a new endeavor, a combination of anxiety and caution are warranted. It’s more comfortable if you don’t have to make a big commitment while you kick the tires and go for the test drive. You need a period of time to try out new ideas and practices for your business, and in that period of time you either gain confidence or decide it’s not your best choice.
This should be your approach if you are new to outsourcing as well. Don’t jump in with both feet and decide that you’re going to hand over all your bookkeeping and customer support in one fell swoop. Rather, move slowly toward a planned goal of outsourcing all the tasks that you can.
The best way to start with outsourcing is with just one. Start with just one outsourced employee at first. That is exactly what I did.
After doing my research to find an outsourcing company I felt confident with, I used them to help me find my first employee to try out. As far as finding the right outsourcing company for you, I will get to that in an upcoming article.
To screen prospective employees for me, I gave the outsourcing company a list of what I was looking for in an ideal employee. Once the company had some candidates for me, I interviewed them myself, and then picked the one that I hoped could deliver what I needed.
So, get that first employee and give it try. How is that employee meeting your needs? Is this outsourced employee displaying the qualities and qualifications that you must have in order to continue your business success? Does the employee understand what you are asking them to do? Are they doing it right and making progress for your business?
If you are answering yes to these questions, congratulations! You have found a winner and a keeper. On the other hand, if you are answering to any of these questions, go back to the outsourcing company and have them find you another employee to try.
Once you have found one outsourced employee that works well for you, it will be easier to find more. You will have more clarity about what you are looking for in your interview process and in your specifications to the outsourcing company.
And, believe me, once you have found an outsourcing company that can deliver quality workers for your business, you will wonder why you did not outsource sooner. Your business will be growing right before your very eyes. Just take that first step and try its.

A statement from the Federation of Small Businesses (http://www.fsb.org.uk) urges small business owners to be cautious about outsourcing:
People should make sure they are getting the right service for the size of company they are. They should not have to shell out for blanket coverage. It is about striking a balance.
What kind of balance are you striking in your business? Are you finding that you are paying high prices for help with your business tasks, but you are not getting the results you had hoped for?
When you choose a plumber to fix the pipes in your home or a dry cleaner for your business suits, you are looking for a good value and quality service that you do not have to think twice about. Once you have chosen a company to the work, you want to confidently move forward without having to reevaluate the decision. This should be your approach in getting help with your business as well.
We all need help to achieve our goals, whether it be in our personal lives or in our businesses. And there is nothing worse than feeling like you wish you had hired someone else once the job is done. I hate that feeling.
Are you going back over work that your staff has already completed to make sure it was done right the first time? Do you have regrets about your hired help? If you answered to either question, I encourage you to reconsider.
We cannot do it all ourselves, that is for sure. As small business owners, we just don’t have the superhuman capability we need to get it all done. What is inevitable is that you need to hire help. But what is not inevitable is the quality, reliability, and affordability of the help you are going to hire.
For tasks that you need done in your home, you probably ask your friends and neighbors who they’ve used and how satisfied they were with the work. You need a person or an organization you can trust. And you need a match for the task at hand.
Because you are growing your small business, you need a partner like 123Employee to provide you with trustworthy, reliable, affordable help. I know the struggles of finding good help, and I have been using the services of our staffing group with great results.
Don’t be hard on yourself, but do be cautious in your business decisions. Choose a partners like us. We’ll succeed together.

Monday, January 26, 2009 was dubbed Bloody Monday by the media for the 50,000 jobs that were cut from the workforce of the United States that day. This is a sad reality that we are facing here in America, but it does not stop within our boarders. As jobs are cut here, the wave ripples out to negatively impact the job market around the world.
Our mission as outsourcers is one of positive impact. We are here to create jobs, share the wealth, and help grow businesses. As assertive advocates of small business, we offer the opportunity for immediate action against a crumbling financial situation. While there is a lot of talk out there about stimulating the economy to get it back on solid ground, we are here actually doing something.
I know there are many one-man and one-woman shows struggling out there to get it all done every day, struggling to finish all the work tasks that stack up never endingly, stretching the limits of physical and mental capacity against the clock and the dollar. I’ve done it myself and I remember it well. We really don’t have to struggle alone. I am in the trenches with you, and I am here with my fellow associates in the outsourcing industry to support you.
Just imagine how your single-handed operation can smartly flourish if you bring on a staff. Does the thought of getting some help bring you a sense of relief? By using our representatives as your staff, you become part of the economic upturn, a provider of jobs, an achiever of more, and the owner of a growing business. As your business grows, you are able to contribute more to your local economy. This is a contagious win! Be a part of it with me.

You are a modern-day, small business owner. You’re hip to the market trends that impact your niche, and you’re savvy to the notion of best practices. How is all that working out for you so far? Are you able to spend all the time you’d like on each and every aspect of your business? Are you accomplishing everything that you need to fast enough?
If you’re like me, you can always use another pair of hands to get through the day’s To Do list. Also, if you’re like me, you cringe when you have to spend money on something that doesn’t show an immediate cash flow positive return. As we say around here, today’s outgoing dollar better come back as two tomorrow.
Do you know how your competition is getting it all done and staying on budget? I know. It;s simple. Your competition is using outsourcing. The cost of an outsourced staff is marginal compared to what you’d expect to pay a local staffer.
What’s it worth to you? By adding even just one worker who gets you a few more hot leads, imagine how that could increase revenue for your business. How about a staffer who could take care of your repetitive, menial tasks? How many more hours would that free up for you to be doing the critical stuff like closing deals?

Perhaps you’ve never considered the Philippines as a place to find outsourced resources. Now is the time. You need a workforce at a fraction of the cost you’re being quoted by local workers. Our representatives at 123Employee are fluent English speakers with solid skills who can make your dollars go further.
Reliability is what you need. Dedicated to your workflow, the assigned representative or team of representatives will be committed to your business, and your business only. With that kind of focus, tasks are completed quickly and the progress this brings to your business is fantastic. Data entry, follow-up calling, client support, and many other activities you need help with will be handled by your new staff. And your budget will still be in the black.
Right now we’re all trying to get by on less cash, so there’s no way hiring a traditional workforce for your small business is even an option. I’ve been building businesses for many years and I know what small businesses need. I’m right here with you every step of the way to support you with a dependable workforce.
As managers and small business owners broaden their understanding of how outsourcing helps businesses grow, we’ll continue to see a trend toward this way of staffing. As businesses grow, more stateside staffing will become necessary and this will grow our local economy. This is a business-smart trend that is the natural progression of a global economy. This strategic approach to employing a workforce is starting to be referred to as “transformational outsourcing” in light of the way it builds economies around the world.
So, don’t be coy about outsourcing. It’s the best answer to small business staffing needs. 123Employee is ready to help you build your business. Let us keep your costs low and your growth trending upward. Give us a call. We look forward to working with you.
