Hey Karl and if you ever see me speak from stage then you’ve heard the story of Karl because there isn’t a single solitary time when I speak live where I don’t tell the story of you.
Oh wow.
Yes and you didn’t really know that until recently.
No idea.
I’ll tell you guys the story. If you’ve never seen me speak from stage then you probably haven’t heard about Karl. He was employee number 1 at 123Employee. It all started with you Karl.
It all started.
It all started with you. We had a rapid growth many years ago and Karl was the catalyst. There’s no such thing as a Filipino that just supports themselves. They’re always helping their mother, their brother, their sister, and their father. They’re always paying it forward.
That’s so true.
That’s right and you, Karl, were no exception to that rule. I used to pay Karl performance bonuses. It was not a huge chunk of money for me but over there it went a long way didn’t it?
It did. So much.
That’s awesome.
I appreciate that.
And I appreciate you Karl. So I sent money to Karl and each month Karl would send money home to his mother. He was able to put himself through school. He was able to put a sister through school. Karl graduated, his sister graduated, and today Karl is a physical therapist in the U.S. in Chicago.
Yeah. Been here for two years now.
It’s an incredible story
It’s amazing.
It is and just a little while ago I was in Chicago speaking. Karl, you picked me up in the airport and took me to the gate. We actually went out for pizza first and I love Chicago pizza.

Deep-dish pizza that’s right and then from there he took me to the event to speak and I said Karl you have to come in and see me because then I always talk about you and what did you say? You said that’s cute.
But it was your birthday and you wanted to go out and hang with your friends so you’ve never seen me talk about you. The reason why I want to shoot this video is because I want you to know that in life for every action there is a reaction. We go through life not realizing how much of an impact we have on the world and the people around us. Karl, you didn’t know it but you completely transformed my life. I get up every morning, I pinch myself because of the amazing success that we’ve had at 123. I’m able to travel the world and make an impact on so many people. It all started with you, so what I want you to know is that I appreciate you.
