Test-running your theory
It is not enough to state that a particular strategic plan is good. It is often tempting to envisage a smooth sailing ride and probably think of being ready. No strategic plan is said to be ready unless it passes a run test. That is when you can now go full steam ahead with the execution.
One might be heading towards failure if he or she did not test his plans to see how realizable it could turn out to be. This is the essence of the test. It guards against being deluded by overblown dreams and causing disillusionment of your employees. Ultimately, your brand will suffer a great defeat. There are a series of actions that are put in place in a strategic plan to achieve some desired goals. One of these goals is to increase your company’s revenue.
The only way to ensure that you and your employees are not misled by assuming wrongfully is by allowing your department managers to test every specific action.
Spice up the presentation
All stakeholders should be actively involved in the presentation process. This measure guards against losing any bit of information. Nothing moves better than to engage your team into giving a non-static presentation. Every presentation becomes so lively when it is given in a creative way.
In organizing a dynamic presentation, you may have to divide your employees into groups. Each of this group will have their spokesman. There should be a good provision of workshop materials offered to them.
A team leader will be made to have access to workshop materials like whiteboard and markers. These facilities will enable each of the teams to reproduce ideas, which may need to be refined later for useful purposes. When each group is done with all their findings, the employer will have to be briefed on their task.
Plain Presentation
It is easier to convey meanings across to your team and all stakeholders by using plain texts and expressions. This simply implies that you have to ditch your old presentation and have all its technical jargon removed. Technically, you can use imageries to improve the impartation of the message. It is proved that what is demonstrated through the aid of videos or flashcards quickly sticks to the brains of the listeners.
Proper Timing
The setting up of timing for your strategic plan solely depends on your choice and the viability of such a plan. You do not have to rely on the assumptions you gather on the internet.
Conclusions
Let your strategic plans be done more professionally. If your team is not skilled enough to guide you through getting a good plan, you could make use of the services of an outsourcing company.

Making remote work or work-from-home work effectively is very imperative since it appears companies will be operating this type of work model in a longer time. Even when things go back to normal, remote working may eventually become a work norm for many companies – at least partially in the meantime.
According to a company founder and CEO who has successfully moved their over 100 employees to remote work mode, there major tips and secrets to actually make this type of work model work;
Adopt Face to Face Communication
Communication on a personal level is one of the great ways to make remote work effective. According to the CEO, the verbal cues, inflections, intonations and other expressions that come with face-to-face communication are very essential. This is why it is important to adopt video conferencing for meetings, so that personal relationship among a remote team will remain lively.
However, real-time conversations are not something to be done at all times, plus the difficulty involved in scheduling real-time conversations. Remote work experts suggest doing a video recording when sending a quick message to a team member. This way, face-to-face connection will not be lost. And, the team member in question is at liberty to view the video message at a convenient time.
Make the Company Handbook Available in the Cloud
While it is good to retain a hard copy of your operational procedures and work regulations, it’s time to also make it available in soft copy and obtainable via the cloud. In essence, it’s time to digitize your company handbook. This makes the document easily accessible by your remote team.
Use tools such as the Process to store and make organizational processes actionable. In similar manner, Notion, a resource center tool, can be a great way to harbor SOPs.
It’s important that you spot backups for your organization’s core processes and personnel. In essence, you should identify team members who can stand in the place of your key personnel in case any of them chooses to leave suddenly.
You should occasionally rotate those key roles and be sure you can quickly fill a key gap or vacuum without any hassle. Endeavor to adopt this measure both for your in-house employees and outsourcing partners.
Rely Less on Email
As a company tries to transition to remote working, it will be a wrong step to rely heavily on email. This is because trying to open email every now and then to ensure nothing is being missed out can be distracting and time-wasting. Bear in mind that email is not a tool for instant messaging or communication – it wasn’t designed for that purpose.
Therefore, you should rather use instant communication tools such as Microsoft Teams designed for internal communication, or Slack designed for instant chatting or messaging. The message is simple; know when to use email and when not to.
The best bet is to use email for external communications involving clients, business partners, prospective hires and other external personalities. On the other hand, use chat tool or instant communication tools for in-company communication.
Indeed, remote work can be effective when the right steps are adopted.

It is predicted that there may not be any conventional office in the next few decades. This prediction is making sense now more than ever before. This is because companies have learnt from the pandemic lockdown that employees can actually work from other spaces successfully without being present in a regular office space.
The good news is that working from home or remotely confers great benefits to an employer and even the employees. Some of such benefits include the following;
1: Increased Productivity
With technology, people are more available and connected than ever. As a result, the workforce is as productive working from home just as they were performing same duties from a conventional office.
A recent study conducted by Soft Choice showed that more than 70 percent of respondents said they won’t think twice accepting a job offer from a company that implements flexible work schedule, and would ditch their current company that operates rigid work culture – work must be done from the office. More than 62 percent of the respondents in this study confirmed that their productivity level spiked more when they work from home than from a regular office. According to these remote workers, innovations in cloud and mobile technology have contributed immensely to this achievement.
2: Stress Reduction
Indeed, it’s a lot of stress waking up earlier than necessary, just to prepare for work and get going in order to beat the traffic and other possible hitches to getting to the office on time. Then, the tasks of the day are there to add to the stress and pressure.
The same hassle is involved at the close of the day – commuting back home and this involves a number of hours for those who live far away from their offices. This day-to-day occurrence exerts a lot of stress on employees and may have effect on both the health and wellbeing of people. In fact, a consistent stressful lifestyle such as this can reduce the lifespan of those involved.
On the contrary, when people are allowed to work flexibly – working from home most of the times and just once in a while from the office, it helps to minimize stress substantially, hence possible health challenges that come with stress.
3: Huge Cost Saving
Obviously, when companies resort to remote work culture, they will save more from the huge costs of renting and equipping an office space. The savings will be ploughed back in growing and expanding their brands. Cost savings from remote working is also derived from elimination of overhead costs.
Employees also save costs of commuting when they are allowed to work more from their home spaces. It’s a win-win situation for both the employers and their employees.
Finally, a company can save even much more by implementing outsourcing increasingly when it comes to hiring helping hands.

Competition is stiffer during an economic recession, which is why a business should adopt every legit technique and trick to survive. While some consumers are loyal to certain brands and businesses, such loyalty may likely shift when tough times such as the one caused by the pandemic set in.
First, Understand what Characterizes a Period of Recession
Smart entrepreneurs know that certain elements are typical of a declining economy. These elements are even more pronounced right now. They include unemployment, little or no income, shortage of money and other factors that weaken consumers’ purchasing power.
So, when you understand that consumers’ purchasing power is on the decline due to lack of job or income, it will help you adapt your business offers to relieve and suit the present situation. This is one of the major secrets behind the success of some businesses in the midst of recession when their competitors are going down the drain.
Here are some ways to make your consumers prefer your product and/or service to your competitors;
1: Make Sure Your Product Meets Pressing and Urgent Needs
Products and/or services that meet people’s urgent needs during recession tend to attract more attention. For instance, since the pandemic, consumers are locked down at home have consistently demanded for health-care products such as hand sanitizers, facial masks, and even foods delivered at home. Businesses that have consistently met these urgent needs are not just surviving but thriving even in the heat of the crisis.
2: Meet Urgent Needs Affordably
This is not the time to be greedy with making humongous profits. Most people right now do not have money to throw away on rather expensive products when they can go for cheaper or inexpensive alternatives. As long as the cheaper or inexpensive product is meeting their needs effectively, they will ditch the expensive option without thinking twice. Your rate of turnover will spike up when you offer goods more affordably than your competitors during these times.
3: Highlight the Benefits of Your Offer Over Your Competitors’
This is where promotion comes in. Whether you are using word of mouth or promoting your business online, you should emphasize on the benefits of your product and/or service over the other options. Such benefits may include affordability, quality, discount, and other hot deals. Consumers want to see strong reasons to ditch their favorite products and purchase yours instead.
4: Offer After-Sale Service
In times like these when competition is tough, you can even offer free delivery to help attract more customers to your business. Check out what your competitors are not doing so that you can use it as an edge to attract more customers and be on the lead.
Indeed, you can outsmart your competitors and attract more customers during an economic downturn. Remember, you can use outsourcing to source for the best talents that will help move your business forward during crisis.

We know that both the small businesses and large companies have been severely affected by the pandemic. But, the small businesses may not have the wherewithal as the large companies to recover faster from this dilemma.
Let us not forget that small businesses constitute a significant force in the United States’ economy. The U.S. boasts of more than 27 million small businesses and these businesses account for about fifty percent of the nation’s GDP. So, when the small businesses nosedive, the economy would also be affected.
In the present pandemic and post-pandemic era, everyone must support the small businesses in the U.S in different ways such as the following;
Patronize the Small Businesses More than Ever
Right now, some of the small businesses still in operation are offering their products and/or services online. Some are still open in their brick-and-mortar stores depending on the nature of the business. Whichever way, everyone should buy products and services from the small businesses as often as possible to help them get back on their feet.
During the lock down period, you should maintain social distancing by opting for delivery. You can still do in-house pickup from a local business. However, make sure you wear your mask and observe other safety measures when you go out. You can also place a call to see what other purchase and/or delivery options the business offers.
Patronize Local Restaurants and Order Takeout
Right now, many restaurants are not offering dine-in services. But, a number of them are available online for orders. Some delivery apps list restaurants available for food orders during this period, so you can check those apps out. You can choose to pick up your order or have it delivered at your doorstep for a small fee. Even if the lobby is not open, you may find the window of a restaurant’s drive-thru open. You can always call earlier to find out the true situation.
Even if you are quarantined or recovering from the virus infection after treatment, you can get a contact-free delivery. Just give the restaurant instructions on the exact spot at your address to leave your order so that you can pick it up later.
Promote Small Businesses on Different Channels
Use social media and other online platforms to promote small businesses in the U.S. One of such valuable promotions is to leave positive reviews and feedbacks for a great service and/or product. You should also spread the word about such great services or products to friends and relatives. This can help increase patronage of small businesses. This is helpful to both the small businesses and the nation as a whole.
Thankfully, the government is also making its own effort in the form of grants and loans to help small businesses bounce back.

Marketing is going to be more competitive as the recession gets tougher. No doubts, the hard times are here, mostly blamed on the pandemic. But, the truth is that recession only entered a higher degree because of the pandemic, it has been around for a long time. Stepping up your marketing with Facebook ads can make the difference this season. It starts by outsourcing Facebook video ads to an expert.
How to Create and Optimize Facebook Video Ads
The reach and scale of Facebook marketing makes it a powerful, dynamic and effective advertising technique. The best part is that it is cost-effective to market on Facebook, which helps the small businesses to take advantage of the large customer base that the platform offers.
Many Facebook Users in the U.S. and other parts of the world log on to this popular social platform everyday, at least once a day. These people use various devices to access Facebook, including laptops and mobile phones. If you are still wondering how effective video marketing on Facebook is, take a look at these dumbfounding statistics;
- Everyday, Facebook videos receive 4 billion views
- Every day, 500 million viewers view a total of 100 million hrs. of Facebook videos
- Even when there’s no sound, 85 percent of videos on Facebook are still viewed on a daily basis
- Mobile devices are used to accomplish 65 percent of Facebook video views
Facebook Video Ads – Types and Targets
Businesses can leverage Facebook video ads to generate web traffic, build brand awareness, and ultimately boost revenue. The main sales video is primary ad that generates traffic to a specific landing page or the entire website. A marketer can also use the main ad to target those who did not take action (click your website link) after watching your primary ad on Facebook, including those who did not buy or take other required actions after clicking to visit your website.
Where and who your video ads will get to is determined by the refined targeting system created by Facebook. So, one of the successful techniques is to be more specific with your target audience clusters. This will help increase the effectiveness of your Facebook video campaign ads. You should determine your most targeting factors which may include gender, age, language, and/or location.
Increase your chances of targeting your Facebook video ads on those with the highest possibility of buying your product or service by collecting and applying as much information as possible. You need to embark on thorough research to collect the adequate and correct pieces of information.
All of these may sound complex and daunting if you are not skilled at marketing on Facebook. This is why you should highly consider outsourcing your Facebook video marketing to an expert.

Even before the crisis, smart entrepreneurs are constantly seeking out ways to beat the competition and be on the lead. Even in the present ugly situation, such entrepreneurs are rather viewing the whole situation from opportunists’ point of view and taking bold steps towards finding and seizing every possible opportunity.
To show how important competitive advantage is to any organization, CEOs outsource competitive advantage identification to consultants and pay substantial sum to them for such creative tasks. Competitive advantage produces higher profits which can in turn be re-invested in some business aspects such as the following;
- Growth – In the form of developing new products, venturing into new markets, acquiring market share and so on.
- Capital Enhancements – this helps to cut back costs or boost quality
- Brand Improvement – This boosts brand or product value
- Hot Deals – which helps to attract new customers and retain old ones
- Juicy Compensation – this attracts the best talents to the organization, so that they can help boost and sustain the gained competitive advantage
So, How Do You Strike a Competitive Edge as an Entrepreneur after the Long Shutdown?
The major element in accomplishing this feat is speed. What does this mean? The fact is, post-covid period will create more demand than supply. This presents economic and growth opportunities to entrepreneurs who will spring into action immediately, rather than drag their feet.
Smart entrepreneurs are gearing up to adopt any feasible measure that would grant them speed. One of such identified measures is outsourcing – partnering with freelancers and looking to other flexible labor sources to help them take swift action towards the huge opportunity that lies ahead.
Also, entrepreneurs should look at sustainable markets as additional way of achieving valuable competitive advantage. In doing this, it is important to align procedures and techniques to the shift in consumers’ behaviors. These new behaviors include seeking for more comfort, convenience, security, affordable pricing and community. There’s also a shift in the way work is done and entrepreneurs should also build-in this shift in their model for attaining valuable competitive advantage.
It’s Important to Start Out the Right Way
Research should precede any meaningful step to achieve competitive advantage during and after the pandemic. This will help reveal the nature of the present market segmentation and the value that that each market segment desires.
A well organized market would normally adopt the following major groups of consumers;
- Those that are brand-driven – they look out for the best brand
- Those who go after the best service or product – for this group, quality and performance are their priority
- Consumers who are more concerned about cost effectiveness – they go for low-budget friendly products that also meet their needs.
So, once you understand these basic elements of gaining competitive advantage, your journey to success has already began.

The far-reaching effects of the pandemic are hitting hard on American entrepreneurs and their small businesses. In fact, this tends to be the trend all around the world since virtually all countries are affected by the pandemic. A recent report showed that approximately 8 million out of about 30 million small businesses in America are likely to shut down completely for several months.
You don’t have to despair, there’s still a ray of light at the end of the tunnel. In essence, for smart entrepreneurs, the crisis will trigger the next move of innovation the world has ever seen. World-changing and more resilient entrepreneurs are going to spring up amidst the crisis.
Indeed, the state of the economy right now requires such resilient entrepreneurs who through their persistent efforts and creativity would eventually revive the economy. So, how can entrepreneurs get back to their feet and accomplish this feat?
Become More Attentive
Right now, the pandemic has caused a shift in many consumers’ behaviors, leading to change in business models as well. While this is a short term change, there’s also a long-term economic change or changes on the way. Digital disruption is going to be the form of such long term changes. So, in addition to cost-saving changes such as increased use of outsourcing that recession brings to business models, other new business models will also become necessary in order to serve the resulting “new normal” in the best possible way.
Boost Your Core
Technology is an excellent tool for achieving more with little. That’s not all, technology is also a driving force to focus on your area of specialty while outsourcing and/or automating the rest of the tasks. Something good has come out of the pandemic era though – the possibility and benefits of remote working.
Consequently, this will automatically speed up entrepreneurs and CEOs’ evolution towards skills-based and a knowledge-based economy. In simple terms, entrepreneurs and CEOs are going to embrace outside expertise more than ever before. They are going to do this in a swift manner at each point in time. It’s time for entrepreneurs to stop wearing many hats and focus on their core calling. In fact, this has become a necessity (not an option) as businesses get more digitally complex – there is need to access and leverage remote expertise from all over the world.
When this happens, the world would witness an emergence of creative visionaries like never before. This is because entrepreneurs are now free to focus on their business-creation abilities, while their outsourcing partners take care of other tasks. There is no better way to kicks-tart a rebound after the pandemic crisis than these techniques.
It is time to give birth to world-transforming businesses that have never been before.
