Hey there, Daven Michaels, coming to you from Nice, France. This is Part III of our 3-part “Opt In” series. In Part I we told you and showed you why you would need an “Opt In” and how to create one. In Part 2 we showed you what to do with the data once you receive it and then in Part III, this part, we’re going to show you some power moves. I’m going to give you 3 power moves. The first one is: you’ll need to create a compelling offer or people will not “Opt In” to your list. You have to give them something they want, not something they need. This is an important distinction. People will only go for what they want. They don’t care about what they need, so give them a bunch of stuff that they want. We do that on our website, a ton of free gifts. You also need to know that unless the offer is incredibly compelling, if you just put it on the website, people still will not “Opt In” because people are tired of getting junk mail so you’ve got to do better than that.
Step 2, the second power move is creating a squeeze page. You need to squeeze them for information, so a squeeze page only has a limited amount of info. It just has maybe a video then it says put in your info to receive more information. That takes them to the main offer or the main website. That’s how you squeeze their info. Now, if you’re doing a paper clip campaign with Google, this isn’t going to fly. There are some ways to get around it. You have to have a lot of content on your website and so on and so forth. You can contact us for more details but be careful if you’re doing a paper clip campaign otherwise you have to squeeze people for their info. You have to make it mandatory that they put in more info to receive more info to continue on to the website. People don’t really like this but it works and this will allow you to collect the data you need.
The third power move is once you have their name and email, get more data, because if you have more data from them, you can market to them through multiple channels. We offer more gifts if they give us their phone number and their mailing address, and then we use this information to send direct mail as well as telemarketing calls. And there you go. That’s a multi-channel approach. Those are 3 awesome power moves for you. I hope this was helpful for you. Please answer back this email and give me a grade of 0 to 10, 10 being the most valuable to you. Until next time, this is Daven Michaels. I hope you’re living your true-life adventure. Bye for now.
Hey there, it’s Daven Michaels. Today I’m coming to you from Nice, France, for Part II of our “Opt In” box series. In part 1 we talked about why it’s important to have an “Opt In” box on your website, vitally important. Now in Part II, we’re going to talk about what to do with that information once you have it. In Part III I’ll give you some power moves. This is Part II. What do you do with the info once you have it? Well you want to email them right? You want to create an auto-responder series; some platforms call it a follow up series. It’s when you receive marketing emails or content emails. Now, we send them out weekly at 123 even though it probably seems we send them out more often, it’s weekly. But many companies, many marketers, do it daily and, believe it or not, you will get a higher result by doing daily blasts. It’s up to you. I feel that they’re a little bit obtrusive; it’s totally your call. You want to start emailing your people. You can send them text emails, video emails like this one, or you could send them both. We’ve done a lot of testing, we’ve done test emails for years, but now most people have high bandwidth so we are starting to make a switch of it. We think it’s more personal; it’s more interesting, more fun. We hope you do, too. As a matter of fact, at the end of this video answer back, just reply back to this email and give me a rating, 0 to 10, 10 being the most useful for you. We want to get your feedback. We appreciate that.
Okay, so that’s what you want to do, you want to create an email series. If you don’t have a series or you don’t know where to begin, we recommend swapping. Everybody does it. All marketers do it. Find somebody with a great email series, swap the content and make it your own. Don’t plagiarize but make it your own. It’s okay everybody does it. We know that. You know, the people copy our emails too and that’s all right. They can’t copy video though can they? All right, so there you go. That’s our tip for this week. Next week we’ll talk about some power moves with your “Opt In” box. Till next time, this is Daven Michaels coming to you from Nice, France. I hope you’re living your true-life adventure.
Hey there, Daven Michaels, founder of 123Employee and today I’m coming to you from Nice, France. Today’s marketing tip is on “Opt In” boxes. If you don’t know what an “Opt In” box is, you’ve probably been living under a rock. I’m sure you know what it is. It’s when you go to a website and that website asks you for name and email. This is critical because these days people don’t purchase the first time they go to websites. I know you don’t. You’d probably look at the website, then you shop around a little bit, then you do some research, and then you come back to it. So, if people don’t purchase from you, is it because they don’t want to buy from you? The answer is no. They just aren’t ready to buy from you yet, so you have to cultivate a relationship with that person. The only way to do it is to get their information. People get really caught up with “Opt In” boxes; they just don’t seem to understand the logistics. These days it’s very simple, all you have to do is work with a shopping cart company or email service like Aweber. I’ll put some links below. You can simply generate a quick code, give it to your web designer, and you’re up and running. It’s really simple. Now, I’ll go ahead and extend this for the next couple of weeks; so next week, we’ll talk more about what to do with that contact information when you have it, and then the following week, week 3. I’ll go ahead and give you some power moves on how you can actually take that, put it to the next level, generate more information from your client, and utilize that information. This will be some good stuff, a 3-part series. We’ll start with part 1, just go and get set up. Set up an Aweber, a 1Shoppingcart, or Infusion account. I’ll put the links below and you’ll be good to go. This is Daven Michaels. I hope you’re living your true-life adventure.
Hey there, Daven Michaels, founder of 123Employee. Today, I am in Pattaya in Thailand, just a couple of hours from Bangkok. I figured I’d just take a moment to share with you first of all one of my favourite local fares; over here they call this a pancake. But what it really is, it’s really Roti Tinii. The first time I’ve enjoyed it was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and as a matter of fact, I think I ate it everyday. I love it. It’s so delicious and so incredibly unhealthy. This gentleman here, he’s actually from Burma, he’s Burmese, and he has a local business doesn’t he? So, let’s talk about local business marketing. Well let’s say that I was shooting a video for him which I am, and let’s say I wanted to get this out all over the web, what would I do? Well the first thing I do is I take this video, I edit it down and I put it out through YouTube. Then I’d put it out through Video Aggregator software to get it out to all the other video directories all over the web. I would email it out to all of my people, if you’re seeing this email, you’re probably one of my people. I would have it transcribed and turned into articles. Then I would chop off all the articles and micro blog them all through Twitter, and so on, and so forth. I put the text on my blog and then I put the video on my blog. Now this gentleman, let’s say he has a Facebook fan page. Okay, so what I would do is I’d have little cards that I would give away and whenever someone ordered from me, I would give him the card. The card might offer him a 10% discount or something for referring somebody or maybe I’d give him a credit for liking my fan page. See even any local business can benefit from social media and social networking. Okay so I’m going to enjoy my Roti Tinii tonight. I’m Daven Michaels. Thanks for watching.
Hey there, Daven Michaels and today I’m coming to you from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Behind me is the historic Liberty Bell, a symbolic beacon of independence for the nation as well as the world. I want to share with you not an outsourcing lesson but a marketing lesson. You know at 123Employee we’re all about marketing and I want to share a 2-part lesson with you. If you just follow these two principles you’ll be ahead of about 95% of marketers, all people, all your competition. So, two things to know, one is that it’s all about your headline. If your headline shines the people will read your ad; and if doesn’t, then they’re going to leave you right away. They’re not going to look at your ad. Two, you always want to lead with the benefits followed with the features. 95% of all people out there that advertise, they lead with the features and follow with the benefits.
Let me explain. A feature is we’ve been in business for 20 years; we are the most solid company in the world. We offer high quality. We offer offices all throughout the nation. Those are features. Benefits are; what does it mean to me, what does it mean to your potential prospect? Save money, two for the price of one. We’re the only place in the world that makes this product, that kind of thing. What does it mean to me? You’ll sleep better tonight on our mattress. Your friends will think you are awesome driving this new car. Okay, these are benefits. Everybody always leads with the features and then they follow with the benefits. Nobody cares about that. Everybody cares about, “What does it mean to me? “ So remember this if you lead with the benefits, follow with the features. You will be ahead of 95% of all people that are advertising in your industry, and there you have it. Two very simple lessons but if you follow them, you’ll be way ahead of the game, way, way, way ahead of the game.
I know this is simple but it’s powerful and so if you will please, let me know what you thought of this quick little lesson. Just reply back to this email and give me a rating of 0 to 10. 10 of having the highest value for you and I’ll try to put some resources below when I get a chance. Until next time, this is Daven Michaels. I hope you’re living your true-life adventure. Bye for now.
Hey there, I’m Daven Michaels. Today I’m with a very special friend of mine, this is Karl.
Hello D.
Hey Karl and if you ever see me speak from stage then you’ve heard the story of Karl because there isn’t a single solitary time when I speak live where I don’t tell the story of you.
Oh wow.
Yes and you didn’t really know that until recently.
No idea.
I’ll tell you guys the story. If you’ve never seen me speak from stage then you probably haven’t heard about Karl. He was employee number 1 at 123Employee. It all started with you Karl.
It all started.
It all started with you. We had a rapid growth many years ago and Karl was the catalyst. There’s no such thing as a Filipino that just supports themselves. They’re always helping their mother, their brother, their sister, and their father. They’re always paying it forward.
That’s so true.
That’s right and you, Karl, were no exception to that rule. I used to pay Karl performance bonuses. It was not a huge chunk of money for me but over there it went a long way didn’t it?
It did. So much.
That’s awesome.
I appreciate that.
And I appreciate you Karl. So I sent money to Karl and each month Karl would send money home to his mother. He was able to put himself through school. He was able to put a sister through school. Karl graduated, his sister graduated, and today Karl is a physical therapist in the U.S. in Chicago.
Yeah. Been here for two years now.
It’s an incredible story
It’s amazing.
It is and just a little while ago I was in Chicago speaking. Karl, you picked me up in the airport and took me to the gate. We actually went out for pizza first and I love Chicago pizza.
it’s a deep-dish pizza.
Deep-dish pizza that’s right and then from there he took me to the event to speak and I said Karl you have to come in and see me because then I always talk about you and what did you say? You said that’s cute.
But it was your birthday and you wanted to go out and hang with your friends so you’ve never seen me talk about you. The reason why I want to shoot this video is because I want you to know that in life for every action there is a reaction. We go through life not realizing how much of an impact we have on the world and the people around us. Karl, you didn’t know it but you completely transformed my life. I get up every morning, I pinch myself because of the amazing success that we’ve had at 123. I’m able to travel the world and make an impact on so many people. It all started with you, so what I want you to know is that I appreciate you.
I’m so glad to hear that.
Yeah, thanks bro. I love you bro.
Thank you.
I just want you all to be conscious of the decisions you make because you make an impact and you make a difference. Until next time this is Daven Michaels. I hope you’re living your true-life adventure. Bye for now.
Hey there. Daven Michaels, I’m coming to you from the beautiful beaches of Bali, Indonesia. Today I want to talk to you for a couple of minutes about joint ventures. Now, what are joint ventures? It’s like an affiliate arrangement, basically it’s you working with other affiliate partners. They’re going to market your service but we call them JV partners because they’re bigger, they have larger lists. Here’s a question for you: are there businesses that are complimentary to your niche that might benefit from marketing your product or service to their clients and prospects? The answer is absolutely. How do you do this? Step number one: you want to have an affiliate program in place. I think we’ve sent out emails on that before, contact our office if you need some help with that.
Then, you want to do some research on Google and look up businesses who you think have clients and prospects that would be a match for your product or service. Does that make sense? Okay, now once you have that, and for those particular niches look at the top of the Google list. Those are going to be the marketers in the group. These are going to be the ones, the savvy marketers with the big lists. Now, what you want to do is contact these people. I would suggest that you actually don’t contact them on your own, have somebody do it for you. We always recommend a virtual assistant; we’re trained to do this. Have someone contact them and set up 15-minute phone appointments on your Google calendar so that your time is only spent making these joint venture deals. Anything else is below your pay grade.
Once you make the deal, as long as it’s complimentary, these people will blast out for you. It’ll build your list. It’ll build your bank account. It’s a great way to get more business and it doesn’t cost you any money. So, that’s how you do it. If you need more information on this, contact our office. Our people are trained in doing this. They can help you set up joint ventures. Until next time, this is Daven Michaels. I hope you’re living your true-life adventure. Bye for now.
